Far Corners Photography is truly a collaboration of husband and wife team Jacob Painter and Ciara Lantz-Painter. After meeting at and graduating from Appalachian State University, the duo knew they wanted to start their own business. Jacob is passionate about entrepreneurship and local business. Ciara is a photographer and designer. It seemed natural that they would find something that would interweave both their passions and their strengths.
When deciding where to plant their business roots, Jacob and Ciara turned to Asheville for its thriving arts and culture, local business mindset, and endless natural beauty. With so many unique dwellings and a thriving hospitality industry, Real Estate Photography seemed like a natural choice. Ciara’s background in commercial photography has enabled her to capture the unique spirit of every home and building, no matter how large or small, even if it means backing way into the corner just to get the shot.
Ciara might be the face behind the camera, but Jacob is the one right in front. Jacob brings his interpersonal skills and gift for marketing to grow in a competitive market. About Our Name:
“Far Corners” pays tribute to both Ciara’s creative process and her unique childhood in Rincon, Puerto Rico. Rincón is a tourist destination known the world over for the best surfing and pristine beaches. It was on her corner of the island that she discovered a love of photography that led her to the mainland. Almost by a happy accident, “Rincón” means “corner” or “nook,” exactly the spot Ciara finds herself most often to capture that unforgettable shot.
