October 2021 Newsletter - Team Spotlight: Justin Hunter
Justin joined the Firefly team in 2019 after working in the travel and resort industry for 12 years.
“I was looking for change and a new challenge. While interviewing with Katie I was extremely impressed with her thoroughness and attention to detail. I knew if she handled the hiring process this well that it was likely how she managed her business and her clients as well. I was correct,” he said.
Justin’s primary role is to support the agents as well as the operations team by providing systems and structures that elevate Firefly to the next level by utilizing technology and implementing organizational tools to make the team more efficient and effective.
“From the operations perspective, I hope the agents know that we see how much effort they put into the business and their clients. Being a real estate agent is a difficult job, and while we are here to give them support in a lot of what they do, we still see them go through the ups and the downs of the business,” he said.
While many of Justin’s duties fall in the day-to-day operations, he also has a forward-thinking mindset when it comes to Firefly’s future.
“I envision expansion offices in the real estate side of our business allowing us to service much more of Western North Carolina. We will also diversify our business by offering additional services such as long- and short-term rental management, real estate coaching and possible additional services such as staging, Justin said.
Justin also has a background in customer service and puts the client experience at the forefront of every business decision. He wants each of our clients to be as comfortable, informed and as up to date with the process as possible. He recognizes that buying and/or selling a home is one of the biggest decisions in a person’s life and he wants to make sure we never lose sight of that in each transaction.
Justin’s biggest tip for anyone considering buying or selling a home: “Plan well in advance. If you’re thinking of buying 6 months from now or a year from now, I’d highly recommend speaking with a realtor now. Don’t wait until you see your dream home because the time it will take for you to get everything together then may be a delay that costs you that home.”
Justin lives in the Montford neighborhood with his
wife Jessica, their two children, two cats and two dogs.
