October 2021 - Firefly Team News
Happy Fall, y’all! We’ve been busy bees (or busy fireflies?) the
last few months over here, with some exciting updates from our team.
In June, we hired two new brokers – Michaela Schmidlin and Evan Scott. Michaela and Evan are both relatively new to real estate and each of
their previous careers have made for a natural transition to the real estate
world. Click through to learn more about Evan and Michaela.
In July, we added another team member – Jessica Hunter took on the
role of Listing & Transaction Manager. Jessica came to Firefly with 15
years of experience in project management and customer service. Her exceptional
organization skills and customer focus have given great support to our agents
and clients and she is the first transaction coordinator in the history of
Firefly Realty to handle more than 30 active contracts at one time!
With Jessica coming on board, Sara Little has transitioned into
the role of full time Marketing Director. Sara’s past career as Senior Creative
Director and Communications Director have given her all the tools needed to
take Firefly to the next level in terms of marketing. This means more
engagement with our clients, more exposure to new clients and more
opportunities for growth for our agents.
At the end of July, we brought back one of our favorite client
events; a day at the WNC Nature Center. We were so thrilled to see some of our
past and current clients face to face. There were popsicles, giveaways and of
course, lots of animals!
Behind the scenes, Katie and the operations team have been looking
ahead to the future of Firefly. Katie created a new Buyer Agent Training
Program that will be used to onboard all new agents who are hired, and all six
of our current agents were required to complete and pass the training – and of
course, they did! The next piece is the Listing Agent Training Program – which
means any current Buyer’s Agent who wishes to take on listings and become a
hybrid agent will be able to do so. Stay tuned for announcements about our
agents’ new roles serving sellers as well as buyer clients.
We hope this fall update finds all of our clients well, and we
look forward to seeing some of you at our pie giveaway in November – stay tuned
for more details coming soon!
