March 2022 Newsletter | Team Member Spotlight: Jordan Lockaby
Jordan joined Firefly Realty just over a year ago, but so far she is exceeding expectations in 2022 - she is currently the top agent on the team in terms of number of closings, volume sold and GCI, as of March 30. Jordan has found her stride specializing in working with investors and knows how to meet the specific needs of each of her clients.
Prior to real estate, Jordan worked in many interesting fields including the outdoor industry, higher education and as an organic farmer. She was drawn to real estate as a career that brought more financial stability and freedom, while still fulfilling her deep desire to be of service to her community.
Since diving into her real estate career, Jordan has founded a bustling Asheville area real estate investing community and has built her personal portfolio to span from long term rentals to short term rentals and new development projects. While she loves working with investors, she also enjoys helping out-of-town buyers find their next home in Asheville.
Jordan's favorite thing about her job is winning. "When my clients win, I win, and that feeling of achievement is really fulfilling," she said. Her primary wish for her clients is that they be open and honest about their dreams, desires, fears and reservations. The agent-client relationship is an intimate working relationship that will thrive and be successful when executed with patience and trust.
Jordan would absolutely love it if everyone buying a home, "had a therapist, took deep breaths, kept an open mind and focused on the prize!" - great advice for house hunting AND many other parts of life!
In addition to excelling in real estate as an individual, Jordan is an integral part of the Firefly team. She says of the team, "Firefly is a group of fun-loving, interdependent, incredibly supportive, and amazing humans. What more could you ask for? My vision for our future is that we grow in our efficiencies, deepen our working relationships, increase our level of service, and have LOTS MORE FUN!"
Everyone needs a break, and when Jordan wants to rejuvenate, she loves traveling. This year, she is planning to visit old friends in New England, hang out in France, and perhaps finally see Scandinavia. Around town you can find her riding her bike and taking pottery classes in the RAD.
