Katie Prendergast has been serving buyers, sellers, and investors in Asheville and the surrounding areas since 2012. She enjoys using her skills and expertise to help her clients meet their goals, make wise decisions, and negotiate win-win solutions. She is particularly good at guiding her clients through the home-buying or home-selling process while making sure that the transaction feels easy, and even fun! She has a knack for keeping her eye on the big picture while simultaneously managing and organizing all the details.
Before Katie began her career in real estate, she earned a Master’s Degree in counseling. This training has added significant value to Katie’s services as a real estate agent. Katie’s clients experience better outcomes because she is highly trained in working with people. She can easily analyze her clients’ needs, communicate effectively with all parties in the transaction, and keep deals together through a variety of obstacles.
Katie’s personality makes her a perfect fit for her role as a real estate broker. Her past clients describe her as responsive, helpful, professional, knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, smart, honest, efficient, and very easy to communicate with. Katie prides herself in her ability to work hard for her clients from start to finish. For Katie, her job is about much more than just facilitating sales – it is about walking alongside individuals and families as they make some of life’s biggest decisions and transitions. For Katie, providing great customer experiences is one of her most important responsibilities. She knows that this is business, and it’s personal.
After 4 years working as an individual agent, Katie began building a professional team. She is now the proud owner of Firefly Realty at Keller Williams. She specializes in listing properties and working with sellers while her teammates specialize in helping home buyers and managing transactions. Together, they have become experts in the field.
In her free time, Katie enjoys hiking and camping, playing with her kids, cooking (and eating!), and exploring new fun things to do in Asheville!
