Jessica Hunter, Listing & Transaction Manager, is often referred to as the backbone of the team or the glue that holds it all together, and for good reason. Jessica is the main point of contact for our clients who are under contract, and for our vendors, partners and co-brokers throughout a contract. In short, she ensures that  nothing is overlooked and all boxes are checked so that every part of the transaction goes as smoothly as possible. In addition to handling all of our active listing and buyer contracts - currently around 30 - she also works with our listing clients to get all paperwork signed, prepare the home for listing and get the listing live on the MLS. With nine total agents and five agents who work with both seller and buyer clients, that adds up to a ton a work, and Jessica handles it beautifully. 

Jessica joined Firefly Realty nearly a year ago with a background in project management and wanted to utilize those skills in a new way within a flourishing industry. She was drawn to Firefly Realty because of the relaxed, but driven atmosphere of the team. The strong feeling of everyone being a team member and not just an employee meant a lot to her. 

In Jessica's previous career in the commercial printing industry, she gained plenty of experience with customer service and that also serves her well in her role with Firefly. A big part of her job is making sure our clients feel cared for and empowered during their real estate journey. "I wish for all our clients to feel like they have an excellent support system in Firefly. They know what needs to happen when, what we are doing for them and what they can expect next," she said.

From her unique point of view of working with clients, agents and vendors, Jessica has a big picture view of the home buying and selling process. Her ideal client would always take the advice of their agent. "They have a LOT of training, experience and a whole team of other trained and experienced agents behind them. They always have the client’s best interest in mind," she said. 

As for her vision for Firefly Realty, Jessica would love to see the team  continue to flourish in the Asheville market, and possibly expand to other NC regions as well. "I’m also interested to see what other satellite services we branch out into. Most importantly, I want to keep the sense of community and family," she added.

Jessica enjoys exploring the WNC mountains with her children Grady and Finley, biking, camping and seeing live music. Some of her favorite Asheville hangouts are the NC Arboretum, Zillicoah Brewing and Salvage Station. Her family's go-to restaurants include Biscuit Head, WALK, and Nine Mile.
