2021 is off to a great start so far! Since the new year, we have put 55 homes under contract with 34 already closed.
Early in February, Katie wanted to celebrate the team’s 2020 successes and invited everyone over for tacos and axe throwing – yes, you heard that right! The perfect chilly winter outdoor activity, everyone got to take turns throwing axes of varying sizes at the target. Can you guess who missed the mark and who found their new favorite hobby?
On the listing side, Katie has been working hard to find more listings, as each one she gets seems to go under contract in a few days - sometimes within a few hours, with multiple offers on the table.
Our buyers' agents have been busy finding the right homes for their clients as soon as they hit the market, and competing with other agents to put in a winning offer. It takes tenacity and patience, and our agents are shining at both.
Behind the scenes, the admin team has been cooking up ways to better engage with our clients and our community, and we’re thrilled to provide some updates that you might be interested in:
- Go Local: We sent nearly 100 GoLocal cards to clients who bought or sold homes with us in 2020! These cards offer discounts to more than 500 local businesses and the purchase of the cards supports the Asheville City Schools Foundation. - MANNA FoodBank Food Drive: In March, we had a food drive for Manna FoodBank – We collected 126 pounds of food! Congratulations to these fine folks who brought donations and won $100 gift cards to Kickback AVL:
- Fostering Hopes: Also in March, Firefly Realty announced a partnership with Fostering Hopes, a non-profit organization focused on engaging the local community in the ever-growing needs of foster care. For each client referred to Firefly Realty by Fostering Hopes, $350 from Firefly’s commission of each home sale or purchase will be donated to the organization.
