March 2022 Market Update

Buncombe County home sales data for March 2022 reflects a typical seasonal shift now that we're getting into spring. More people tend to list their houses for sale in the spring, and there was a 46% increase of new listings from February to March this year. The number of homes put under contract and sold also increased from February; however, all of those data points decreased by around 10% from March of last year. While more listings were added to the market, they didn't stay quite as long - 50% of homes went under contract in four days or less, down 20% from the previous  month and March of last year.
