October 2021 Market Report - Buncombe County
Here's your monthly market update for October - If you're tapped in to the real estate scene at all, it's no surprise to you that it's still a seller's market. A few interesting things about October's numbers:
New listings decreased slightly from Sept. 2021 and Oct. 2020. Homes put under contract increased slightly in both cases (meaning those buyer's agents and their buyers are working hard!). The number of closings in October was slightly higher than September; but dropped compared with October of last year - this is more a reflection of the number of available properties rather than the number of people who want to buy homes. To further that point, the Days-On-Market average dropped 22% from October last year and 13% from September of this year - again, showing the tenacity of buyers and buyers' agents - despite the average sale price increasing 26% from October last year!
