March was a busy month for us Fireflies, and we're more ready for spring than ever! We've checked off our first big sponsorship event of the year, received our first round of awards for last year's production and have gotten our first team building activity under our belt.
On March 3, we attended the Keller Williams Professionals Awards Ceremony, honoring those who achieved awards for 2022 production. We were so happy to spend the morning with the top individual salespeople and teams from our office, and we were thrilled to bring home a Double Platinum Award, given to groups who earned between $1 and 1.499 million in GCI.
On March 17 & 18, we were so happy to be a part of the Asheville Marathon & Half event, where we sponsored a goody bag item and attended the pre-race expo, where we met tons of wonderful vendors, volunteers, and racers. On race day, we arrived to the finish line early to set up water and were honored to greet every participant at the finish line to congratulate them and provide hard-earned hydration. We love sponsoring this event, and look forward to next year!
Wednesday, March 22 was cold and rainy, but that didn't stop us from taking The Gorge Zipline experience by storm and completing our planned team building activity, that was a reward for getting a certain number of homes under contract during one of our many team competitions. Fears were overcome, bonds were formed and lots of laughs were had!
This month, we were also sad to say farewell to buyer's agent Erin Ryan. Erin accepted a new job with Pisgah Legal Services as Tax Advocate, working with the Health & Economic Opportunity Program. While we will miss Erin dearly for many reasons, we know he will shine in his new role and will be a huge asset to Pisgah Legal Services as well as the community.
Earlier this year, we launched a Shadowing Program, where we invite agents or anyone in the real estate field to sit in on a morning of script practice, lead generation, and Q&A sessions with our operations team, Katie and a top agent. The program has taken off and it has been an honor to meet so many talented people, from those who are brand new to real estate to seasoned agents interested in team life.
We want to give a shout out to Justin Hunter, Director of Operations, who celebrated his 4th anniversary with Firefly Realty back in February! Justin works incredibly hard behind the scenes to make life easier for our agents, and to grow the business. We appreciate his hard work and thank him for his time on the team!
